Our mission
Knowledge of the living world, open to everyone.
Permagora was born from a simple conviction: learning to grow and to cooperate with the living world should be reserved for no one. This site is, and will remain, free.
« The story of a stream, even one born and lost in the moss, is the story of the infinite. »
Why I created Permagora
It all started with a personal urge: to learn permaculture, and everything around it. But that knowledge was scattered across dozens of books, videos and websites, with no through-line to guide you. I thought: why not gather it all in one clear place, and offer it to anyone who wants to learn? Because that knowledge (feeding without depleting, observing, cooperating with nature) feels too important to stay reserved for a few.
Why it's free
Because knowledge that helps feed and protect the Earth should circulate freely. Permagora's content is openly accessible, with no required account, and built to work even offline, at the far end of the vegetable patch. No knowledge is put behind a wall, and that won't change.
What I believe in
Caring for the Earth
Growing by regenerating soils, water and life, rather than depleting them.
Caring for people
Making self-reliance and connection accessible, clear, honest, sourced knowledge, for every level.
Sharing fairly
The 3rd ethic of permaculture. Here it means: knowledge stays free, with no wall and no strings.
If this site helps even one person plant their first seed, then another, then a thousand, it will have fulfilled its mission.
Permagora is and will remain free.
No knowledge is put behind a wall: the whole site is freely accessible, with no account, and available offline in the garden. If you'd like to see Permagora grow, you can support it. Every gesture helps, none is required.
Support is free and optional, and unlocks no reserved content: the knowledge stays freely accessible to everyone.
